Cut out Body leaving a 1/8" to ¼" seam allowance. Clip curves and turn right side out. 2.Lightly stuff the Body with polyester fiberfill. Hand stitch the bottom closed. 3.Apply glue to the side of the wooden skewers and insert into the body next to the side seams, one on either side. Let dry. 4.Wrap lower portion of skewers with ribbon from the bottom edge of the Body to bottom of the skewer to create the legs. 5.Small Barbie size hoes can be purchased from the dollar store or use anything to represent shoes like beads, ribbons, fabric scraps, or just knot the ribbon. 6.From fabric scraps, choose a fabric to wrap for a dress. This can be one fabric or several fabrics. A rectangle of fabric works well. 7.If you want your gal to have arms, sew a tube from fabric scraps the length of a chenille stem, turn right side out, insert the stem and sew to the back of the doll. The arm tube could be glued instead of sewn, if you choose. 8.With gel pens, draw a face at the top of the Body. Use colored pencils to add cheek color, lip color and eye shadow. You could also stamp a face or decoupage a face from a magazine. 9.Apply the 'hair' of your choosing to the doll. It can be long or short, any color and any texture that you have selected. Glue or sew the 'hair' in place. 10.This completes the basic assembly.
